“Free speech was destroyed today at Chapel Hill by the breaking of glass and violence…” William Gheen, former UNC student and president of Americans for Legal immigration. See video.
April 14, 2009: University of North Carolina Chapel Hill “police released pepper spray and threatened to use a taser on student protesters Tuesday evening when a crowd disrupted (and shut down) a speech by former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo opposing in-state tuition benefits to unauthorized immigrants.”
This is one example of the sudden offensive against Americans who want to keep our sovereign nation, and who also oppose illegal immigration and support the constitution’s mandate to keep our borders secure.
The University of North Carolina has put out the welcome mat to all illegals in our nation. UNC has a program called the Latino Initiative, which is run by the University of North Carolina’s Center for International Understanding. It “provides a fresh approach to changing demographics and is designed for policy leaders and educators whose communities are experiencing growth in their (illegal) Latino immigrant populations.” This includes “improving Latino health care and strengthening civic integration of immigrants.” See this blog, archive, Feb. 27, 2009, ‘University of North Carolina welcomes Illegal Aliens while Citizens pay the bill.’
The Raleigh News and Observer covered Tancredo’s attempt to deliver a speech:
“Before the event, campus security removed two women who delayed Tancredo’s speech by stretching a 12-foot banner across the front of the classroom. It read, ‘No dialogue with hate’.
“Police escorted the women into the hallway, amid more than 30 protestors who clashed with the officers trying to keep them out of the overcrowded classroom. After police released pepper spray and threatened the crowd with a taser, the protesters gathered outside Bingham Hall.”
Inside the packed room, “two women stretched out another banner, first along one of the aisles and then right in front of Tancredo. Tancredo grabbed the middle of the banner and tried to pull it away from the girls.” Tancredo said, “You don’t want to hear what I say because you don’t agree with me.”
Then, “the sound of breaking glass from behind a window shade interrupted the tug-of-war. Tancredo was escorted from the room by campus police.”
And outside the building 200 protesters shouted:
“We shut him down; no racists in our town…Yes, racists, we will fight, we know where you sleep at night.”
And free speech in America will continue to disappear no matter who’s in charge. The end game will be governance from the top down. No democracy and no free speech.
Here is an update from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Fusion Centers on domestic terrorists, a report designed to curtail dissent.
On April 7, 2009, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet (Amnesty) Napolitano’s DHS sent out another report on militias and right-wing extremists. The title is ‘Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.’ See the official report.
Topics of interest to the DHS:
Disgruntled Military Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, page 7.
DHS “assesses that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists-including lone wolves or small terrorist cells-to carry out violence.”
Free speech, page 5.
“Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.”
Here’s a news flash. It turned violent years ago and the violence is coming from south of the border. In fact more Americans have been killed by illegals than all of our soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. But that’s just collateral damage in the construction of a North American Community (AKA Union) run by corporations; for example, the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), a permanent North American Institution.
Input from DHS spies, including data from the “man in the street”, page 8.
DHS “will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.”
And while you’re at it Janet, could you wipe out the Mexican drug cartels that have a grip on 230 American cities. And, if you aren’t too busy spying on American citizens how about securing our borders so the illegals can’t get in and take our jobs and the drugs get stopped at the border. You might even capture a real terrorist or two if you are diligent.
After all, it is your duty.
